Going to school, is it worth it being a male therapist?

Hi, first time here. I am going to school starting in oct. and I have a few concerns. my first concern, is it worth paying all the money to goto school as a male therapist, cause I feel that women would rather goto a female therapist because there is such a stereotype that all males are perverts. I would like to hear from other male therapists and know if they find it hard to get client just cause they are male? I mean men would rather go to female therapists in most cases and females might rather goto female therapists? This is just my thought any help would be appreciated. Also, does anyone know the licenseing laws in New Jersey? One more thing, as a male therapist will people look at me as a pervert when I tell them what I do for a living? Thanks in advance.
